This is a small school on the edge of a slum, which has the dubious distinction of being the largest in that state. It was set up in 2010 by a Korean group after careful, full consultation with community leaders. It consists of just six small classrooms (one of which doubles up as the office) and four toilets – ie it’s tiny. However, it provides English-medium schooling to 200 youngsters from the slum. The alternative for all these youngsters would be to run around the streets.
